OVERVIEW
Goals
Make a kick-ass game for India's Biggest Game Jam
Description
Gameplay: The player plays as a vigilante looking at newspaper articles about crime in their area, choose a criminal to defeat in turn-based combat. However, manage your own stats: if you get too popular or injured you lose!

At the time of the game jam, I was working on a lot of simulations for my job at the time, I figured, I could probably make a whole game on excel, luckily IGDC Game jam was around the corner and I could use this opportunity to make this game.

The game design is simple turn-based combat with a few different enemies and basic attacks. Game still has some progression elements, for example, enemies get tougher the more you play. Overall, this game was a fun experiment to make. The intention was to make a stand-alone game which is feature complete and not an incomplete experience.

The trickiest part was getting the animations and sounds to work

EXPERIENCE
Learning opportunity
This was a really fun project, working with these constraints was very fulfilling, and overall really happy with how it turned out.
Since this project, I have simulated gameplay for 10+ games on excel as 'Paper Prototypes'
This project was key to really accelerating my game and economy simulation skills.
